Daylight is coming to iPhone first. One email when it opens. Nothing else.

Most budgeting apps give you another system to manage. More categories to fill in, more transactions to review, more charts to interpret.
Daylight is built around a simpler idea: once tomorrow’s bills and the goals you care about are accounted for, you should be able to see what today can afford.
No daily spreadsheet ritual. No mental arithmetic at the checkout. Just one useful number, with all the detail available when you want it.
Daylight does not ask you to trust a black box. Open a recommendation to see the spending behind it. Open your daily number to see how income, bills, savings, and discretionary spending produced it. Open an encouraging claim to see the transactions that prove it.
When Daylight has limited history, it says so. When a bank connection is behind, it shows what may be missing. If there is not enough reliable information to produce a useful number, it does not pretend otherwise.
Spending more than planned is not a character flaw. It is information.
Daylight helps you see what changed, adjust the affected category, and continue with a plan that still makes sense. There is no punishment, no dramatic reset, and no red warning designed to make you feel bad about buying dinner.
The goal is not to win at budgeting. The goal is to make your money easier to live with.
Daylight measures progress against your own history — not a national average, and not a target we invented for you.
It can show when spending has fallen, when a savings goal is moving faster, or when several small changes have added up to something meaningful. Every statement includes the number that produced it and can be opened to see the evidence.
No empty praise. No made-up milestones. Just progress that happened.

Illustrative figures. In the app each statement opens to the transactions behind it.
Daylight connects to your financial accounts through Plaid. Your banking credentials are entered into Plaid, not Daylight.
The daily number is a spending plan, not your bank balance. Bank transactions can take time to appear, so Daylight always shows how current its information is. Before a payment where the exact available balance matters, check with your bank.
If yours isn’t here, join the list and ask — we answer within a day.

A useful budget should not require constant attention. It should help you make the next decision and get out of the way.
